So, unfortunately, we had to enter our 'non-modeled Signature Style' for PR&P {details here}....not quite the 'bang for our buck' we wanted to end the season on {ie: without those cute models}! But, friends: you never cease to amaze us at your encouragement, kind words, and thoughtful remarks - with or without modeling nieces!!
And, for those of you that were interested in those nieces' new clothes...here you go....
Our MODELED Project Run & Play, Signature Style....
{ie: stand right here, smile, and you'll get an m&m}
The good news: Both outfits fit, and "Sister-Mama" was happy, happy, happy!!

The bad news: It was pretty frigid during the photos....
someone's lips almost turned the color of her dress!
That, and it appears we might be stuck in a 'Signature Rut'...
While we are thrilled to have found 'our look,' perhaps it is time to branch out a bit!
So, the niece thinks the prospects of that are HILARIOUS...

Anyway....just take a moment to get lost in those baby blues...

Or those squeezably soft fingers and toes....
And, yes....*side note: we DID succomb to bribery! Please don't judge!!
Only three M&Ms were 'earned'...
Looks like someone swallowed the canary, doesn't it?!?!
And before you think this child wears a halo, and we have such an easy time taking photos....
THINK AGAIN, BABY!!! This truly captures her personality - time and time again!!
There you have it..... OUR "MODELED SIGNATURE STYLED"...
Oh...and on a completely unrelated note: anyone signed up for the Girls' Night Out
that Jessica is hosting in Charlotte, NC??? Roll call, please....

Your style is SO adorably sweet!
ReplyDeleteThose girls are too cute! And I love your signature style. Keep on it :)
ReplyDeleteI love the goof-ball photos! So cute. ~Major Moma
ReplyDeleteWe come back to this post.....just for those goofball pictures!!! She is a silly, silly 2 year old for sure :)!
DeleteOh, the joys of a photo shoot. Thank goodness M&M's were invented! Your signature style dresses not only reflect your good taste but also your expert sewing skills. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think all bloggers have had their fair share of THOSE photo shoots. We just didn't have the patience to drag it out the other day.... Yes, thank goodness for the invention of m&ms.
DeleteThe dresses look just wonderful on those cutie-pies! Your collars lay around their necks perfectly (sometimes those peterpans flip up). I do really love the vintage dress with the pleats and the French knot embroidery.
ReplyDeleteWe've had our fair share of those.....in fact, improving our Peter Pan collar sewing made our New Years sewing reSEWlution list :).
DeleteI'm completely unashamed to offer dum dums as bribery. You gotta do what you gotta do and all that.
ReplyDeleteIt's no rut - your signature style is awesome. There's always a spark of whimsy that makes it unique and surprising.
The hubby is taking all three kids to his folks (without me) the weekend of the meetup in Charlotte. I was seriously considering signing up and driving over for it. Three days all to myself, including a night with sewing blogger friends?!?!?! It's too much excitement to process.
Ohhhhh, we hope you'll go!!! After much deliberation, we signed up and are planning on going. #noregrets #superexcited
DeleteI love your signature style soooooo much!!! Those colors are just gorgeous on your nieces! I love the hand embroidery - breathtaking!!! And yes, I am known to bribe with candy too!!! We've done M&Ms and Smarties on many occasions! :)
ReplyDeleteYea for bribery (and making us feel so much better)!!!!
DeleteI always think I should try more traditional heirloom type stuff! It's just so timeless! I am SO excited to meet you (both?)!!!
ReplyDeleteWe were thrilled to see that you'd be attending as well!!! Yes, it will be both of us - we are a pair and too 'chicken' to do it alone :).
Deletethose are beautiful girls and lovely dresses.
ReplyDeleteBlue M&Ms you are brave! I would have ended up with a blue outfit-or face at the very least :)
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. Really a fan of your colors.
Would you be able to tell me where you got the little girls shoe from. Thankyou . Lindel
ReplyDeleteSure! You can get them at http://iftheshoefitsetc.com (they are also on Facebook). The shoes are Danielle English Sandal by footmates. It is always a pleasure to do business with them!
DeleteToo CUTE! The dresses look even lovelier when worn! And oh how I miss those days when an single m&m could get desired results...
ReplyDeleteThose dresses look even cuter on your adorable models! And you may sew mostly the same style, but I love it. Every piece you make comes out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWe featured you on our blog. Thanks for sewing along! http://shaffer-sisters.blogspot.com/2013/02/prp-sew-along-winter-2013.html
